VIDEO FK Sarajevo Boys Won the 1st Muhamed Kulalić Memorial: Emotional Story and Football Rhapsody

This Sunday, the 1st memorial tournament "Muhamed Kulalić" for the 2009 age group was held in Zenica. The first place was taken by the FK Sarajevo boys, who were also special guests of the hosts Tempo Sport. The second place, after being defeated 2-0 by Sarajevo in the final, was taken by the NK Zvijezda Gradačac boys, and the third place went to the young hopes of NK Travnik.

In an excellent home atmosphere, the boys showed their football skills, and the pitches of the "Tempo Sport" club were too small to accommodate all those who came to support the youngest, but also to remember the deceased Muhamed.

The Sarajevo team was led from the bench by coach Kenan Buza, and Adi Pecar, Danis Sultanić, Vedad Duranović, Serdar Bihorac, Arman Smječanin, Tarik Zećo, Benjamin Pandžić, and Amel Delalić showed their football skills to the audience in Zenica.

The moment when the FK Sarajevo boys presented a jersey and gifts to the brother of the deceased Muhamed, Bakir, who is also from the 2009 age group and played in this tournament for Tempo Sport, was particularly emotional. Bakir also received a gold medal from the FK Sarajevo boys, even though his team was eliminated in an earlier stage of the competition.

Tempo coach Esad Kafedžić made a truly hospitable gesture when, instead of his team (which was the best third in the group), he withdrew the team so that the Rudar Kakanj team could continue the competition.

The impression of the coaches, parents, and other visitors is that the hosts showed how to organize a tournament for this age group, and everyone left Zenica satisfied, even those who did not win medals. The happiest are certainly the young burgundy boys, who lived up to their favorite role in this tournament.

Amel Tuka, the best BiH athlete, also arrived at the pitches and patiently took photos with the boys.

WHO MUHAMED WAS

Muhammed Muha Kulalić started training football at SF "Tempo Sport" under Nermin Šabić. His exceptional talent did not go unnoticed, so the young Kulalić moved to FK Sarajevo. This excellent young footballer played in the pioneer and cadet selections of Sarajevo. He was also a member of the BiH pioneer national team.

Then he returned to Zenica to his Čelik, where he played for the junior selection of the Zenica team. The next football stop was the German club "Kickers Offenbach", where he signed an amateur contract. Soon, scouts from Bundesliga clubs also noted him down. It was only a matter of time before which club would sign him first.

One routine medical examination showed that Muhammed had a formidable opponent – lymphoma cancer. It was no longer about the career of a talented footballer, but about the life of this wonderful young man.

Muhammed Kulalić fought his life's battle for a full year and a half. He literally fought for his life. Muhamed was a great fighter on the field. He played as a stopper and defensive midfielder. He gave his all on the field; for him, there was no lost ball, no lost game. He was undergoing treatment at the German clinic Essen, but the disease was stronger. He left this world last year in November.
