(VIDEO) Bećirović from Vlašić stated: Peace is not kept against a neighbor, but with a neighbor

(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović attended the event "Days of Victory, Days of Pride" on Vlašić – Ljuta Greda, where he paid tribute to the members of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and stated that strengthening neighborly relations is the foundation of the state's stability.



"It is our duty to pass on the truth about the heroes of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina to future generations. General Mehmed Alagić and his comrades achieved a historic feat and liberated Vlašić under almost impossible conditions," said Bećirović, emphasizing the importance of nurturing truth and collective memory.

Speaking about current challenges, especially incidents in Central Bosnia, Bećirović sent strong messages of peace and unity:

"The peace and security of Bosniak families are best preserved by preserving the peace and security of Croatian families. And vice versa. These messages of peace and tolerance also apply to Serbs and all other people in our country. We must consider neighborly ties sacred."

He also warned about propaganda which, as he said, attempts to portray Bosniaks as a threat to Europe:

"We are an indigenous European people. We have never, nor will we ever, accept hatred, extremism, and violence. Every structure of society must work to prevent manipulations that could be used against the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina."

Bećirović's speech was met with positive reactions from the citizens present, who welcomed the messages of unity and the reminder of the importance of anti-fascist values and the fight for freedom.
