Verstappen won the sprint in Austria, Hulkenberg surprised

(Patria) - The second sprint of the season is behind us. Rain further spiced up today's race, and in the end, Max Verstappen in Red Bull emerged as the winner ahead of teammate Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz in Ferrari.

Fourth and fifth were Aston Martin drivers – Lance Stroll was ahead of his more experienced teammate Fernando Alonso.

Nico Hulkenberg in Haas finished an excellent sixth, having held an even better second and then third place for the first part of the race. An excellent battle ensued behind him, with Esteban Ocon in Alpine narrowly finishing seventh ahead of George Russell in Mercedes in eighth place.

They closed the points-scoring circle, and the top ten were rounded out by Lando Norris in McLaren and Lewis Hamilton in Mercedes, writes gp1.hr

The Austrian Grand Prix race is scheduled for tomorrow at 3:00 PM.
