(Patria) - The entire Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the region, have been mourning and bidding farewell for days to the legendary Halid Bešlić, a singer whose voice, songs, and modesty have marked generations.
Today, a memorial service and final farewell will be held for Halid Bešlić, and Radio Television of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BHRT) will broadcast special TV and radio programs dedicated to this giant of folk music throughout the day.
The memorial session will be held at the National Theatre Sarajevo starting at 11:00 AM, with a live broadcast on BHT1 and BH radio1.
The funeral prayer will be performed after the noon prayer, at 1:30 PM, in the courtyard of the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque, while the burial will take place at 3:00 PM at the Bare City Cemetery.
After the funeral prayer, a mournful procession will move from the Begova Mosque through Ferhadija and Titova streets to the Eternal Flame, from where it will continue towards Bare, where all citizens will have the opportunity to pay their last respects to Halid Bešlić.
The tevhid will be recited at the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque after the afternoon prayer, at 4:00 PM.
Today is a Day of Mourning in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Brčko District due to the death of the great Halid Bešlić.
