Great joy at ASA Hospital: First babies born - twins in Novi Grad municipality

(Patria) - The first babies, twins, a girl and a boy, were born yesterday at the maternity ward of ASA Hospital in the Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality.

The little ones arrived into the world with the support of the professional team of ASA Hospital, bringing happiness and smiles to the faces of the parents, as well as the medical staff of the first private hospital in Sarajevo.

On this occasion, the maternity ward of ASA Hospital was visited by the Mayor of Novi Grad Municipality, Semir Efendić.



He congratulated the parents on the new arrivals and the doctors who performed the delivery, emphasizing that he is very happy that in the future, our fellow citizens will have Novi Grad Sarajevo Municipality recorded as their place of birth on their birth certificates.

- This is probably the most beautiful reason we could have come to ASA Hospital, and that is the first delivery performed over the weekend.



We are especially pleased that it is twins, a boy and a girl, and in a way, this marks the beginning of operations for the ASA Hospital maternity ward.

I hope and believe that a large number of our fellow citizens will be born right here, in Novi Grad, at ASA Hospital in the future.



When the hospital was being built, we talked about how this would be an opportunity for our General Affairs Service to start registering those born in Novi Grad municipality in the birth registry.

Novi Grad is the municipality with the most residents, and it is nice to have such an opportunity. What I could conclude from the conversation with the parents is that they are truly very satisfied with the treatment and everything provided to them here at the hospital - said Efendić.



The Director of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at ASA Hospital, Assistant Professor Dr. Azur Tulumović, said that they successfully performed the first delivery at the ASA Hospital maternity ward, and that this represents a major step for the future.

- We had the first delivery at our ASA Hospital maternity ward. Twins were born, delivered naturally.



The delivery went smoothly, and the mother and father are satisfied; they were together throughout the delivery, and now they are together with their babies. This is a big step for our future operations, and we hope to continue at this pace - Tulumović stated.
