
(Patria) - The prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after conducting an investigation, filed an indictment against Vojin Pavlović, born in 1976 in Bratunac, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The accused is charged with, on March 10, 2023 in Bratunac, knowingly glorifying a person who was convicted by a final judgment of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991 for the criminal offense of genocide, in that, as president of the management board of the Association "Eastern Alternative" of Republika Srpska, as well as a resident of Bratunac, he placed a banner with the image and written message in which a person convicted of war crimes is glorified and supported.
In this manner, the accused caused disturbance and fear among a large part of the residents in that area who saw the banner placed in the city center, especially among the returnee population that suffered severe hardships during the past war.
The accused is charged with committing the criminal offense of inciting national, racial and religious hatred, discord and intolerance under Article 145a, paragraph 6 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The indictment was forwarded for confirmation to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which confirmed it.
