(Patria) - Football Club (FK) Velež Mostar announced today that a mutual agreement was reached to terminate cooperation with Elvir Muminović, Yaroslav Oreshkevich, and Stefan Vukčević.
"In a professional and above all friendly communication, respecting their interests as well as the interests of FK Velež, and taking into account all objective circumstances, such as the development of their football careers, a joint conclusion was reached in the form of a mutual termination of cooperation with our former players.
Elvir Muminović was born on March 2, 2001, in the town of Aigle, Switzerland. He began his football career in the ranks of FC Sion, where he also went through the youth selections, before donning the jersey of FK Velež in the summer of 2022.
An unpleasant injury sustained at the very end of the preparatory period forced this defensive player to be absent from the field for an extended period, after which he failed to fully regain his competitive form and impose himself on the coaches of the first team of Rođeni.
In the 1.5 years spent in the red jersey, he recorded only six appearances.
Yaroslav Oreshkevich was born on September 8, 2000, in Brest, Belarus. He began his career in the youth categories of Dynamo Brest, then played for Rukh and BATE Borisov, and donned the jersey of Rođeni in July 2023.
The arrival in Mostar was the first international experience for the twenty-three-year-old Belarusian, but during his short stay in the city on the Neretva, he failed to impose himself and secure playing time in the first team of Rođeni, so the step towards a mutual termination of cooperation represented a logical sequence of events in the career of this young full-back.
Montenegrin international Stefan Vukčević was born on April 11, 1997, in the capital of Montenegro, Podgorica. He spent his youth career in the ranks of Football Club ZETA from Golubovci, before his football path took him through Azerbaijani FK Qabala, all the way to Cyprus where he defended the colors of Enosis Neon Paralimniou.
He joined the ranks of Mostar's Crveni in mid-2023. He made his debut in the Velež jersey in the first round of this season's Premier League and the high victory of Rođeni over Zvijezda 09.
Shortly after, he sustained an unpleasant injury, which certainly threw him out of 'rhythm', after which he failed to regain his first-team position and impose himself in competition with his colleagues.
FK Velež Mostar sincerely thanks its former players for their professional approach and contribution to the achieved results, and extends its best wishes for the continuation of their football careers," the club from Mostar announced.
