Velež played its last match at Pod Bijelim Brijegom on March 15, 1992.

On this day in 1992, unaware of the evil that was brewing, FK Velež played its last match as host at the Pod Bijelim Brijegom stadium, reports the Patria News Agency.

On March 15, 24 years ago, Velež hosted the Zemun team and recorded a 2-0 victory. The scorers were Juričić and Jedvaj. The players on the field at the time were: Pudar, Gosto, Glogovac, Čampara, Bejatović (S. Musa), Jedvaj, Beširević, Karabeg (Pušić), Juričić, Maslovar, Jokišić. Coach: Franjo Džidić.

After Zemun, they were supposed to host Radnički from Niš on March 29, but due to the war that was already raging, they did not travel to Mostar. The 'Rođeni' then played a match amongst themselves, for the fans who came to watch the game.

FK Velež, before the outbreak of conflict in Mostar, played an away match in Subotica against Spartak. After a 0-0 draw, they won a "penalty point" in a penalty shootout. The journey home lasted two days. After returning, on April 7, 1992, the team left their equipment at their stadium.
