Vedad Ibišević banned for two matches

Bosnia and Herzegovina national team player Vedad Ibišević received a two-match suspension for "insulting referee Tobias Stieler," reports Patria agency.

In the match between Ibišević's Hertha and Mainz, the referee showed our player a red card and wrote in his report that Ibišević told him "he was shit," although Ibišević denied this, and a lip-reader confirmed his words.

However, this did not help Ibišević, as the German Football Association's Disciplinary Committee imposed a two-match suspension, meaning our striker will miss the duels with Schalke and Bayern.

Ibišević did not hide his disappointment with this decision.

- I have to live with it and accept the penalty. I have told the truth from the beginning and have a completely clear conscience. The fact that I will miss two home games against Bayern and Schalke hurts me a lot – said Vedad Ibišević.
