Decision for the Dragons tonight: Victory against Switzerland opens the door to the knockout stage

(Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team plays against Switzerland tonight in the second round of Group B at the World Cup. The match at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles starts at 9:00 PM Central European Time. Both teams have one point each after the first round, with a goal difference of 1:1.

After securing a point in the World Cup opener against Canada, our footballers face what is perhaps the most important match of the group stage tonight.

The opponent is the Swiss national team, a side that has been among the European and world elite for years, but in the Dragons' camp, they believe they can continue their positive streak and take another step towards qualifying for the knockout stage of the World Cup.

The players of coach Sergej Barbarez enter the duel with an extra dose of confidence. The Bosnia and Herzegovina national team has scored in its last 12 competitive matches, which speaks volumes about the continuity and character of this generation. From the draw against the Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League, through the qualifiers and the dramatic World Cup playoff, all the way to the duel with Canada, the Dragons have shown they always find a way to the opponent's net. However, everyone in the team is aware that a much tougher task awaits them now.

"Preparations are going very well. The players who played against Canada have recovered successfully, and we are ready for the next match. The point against Canada is valuable, but now a much more demanding opponent awaits us. Switzerland is a team that has been among the best in the world for years, and we must play at the highest level," said Bosnia and Herzegovina national team player Stjepan Radeljić.

The Dragons' defender particularly warns about the quality possessed by the next opponent.

"They have top-class individuals, a lot of experience, and are used to playing big matches. We must be disciplined, thoroughly analyze their strengths, and make the most of the opportunities that come our way. At this level of competition, details decide the winner," emphasized Radeljić.

The main referee of the match is João Pinheiro from Portugal, assisted by his compatriots Bruno Jesus and Luciano Maia. The fourth official will be Yusuke Araki from Japan.

All teams in Group B have one point each after the first round, with an identical goal difference of 1:1.

After the duel with Switzerland, the Dragons will play their final group stage match against Qatar on June 24 in Seattle.
