The Student Council of the Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy and the Youth Office of the Interreligious Council in Zenica held a promotion of books by writer Mugdim Galijašević last night in the IPF amphitheater - "Evening with Galija", writes the Patria News Agency.
During the promotion, three books were presented to the public: "Suza na mezaru" (Tear on the Grave), "Kapija života" (Gate of Life), and "Ispod duge" (Under the Rainbow), and selected excerpts from the books were read by prof. Merima Handanović and Adisa Softić.
The evening was enhanced and completed by the members of the Zenica ilahija choir En-Nahl, and the director of the General Library of Zenica, Midhat Kasap, gave a special review of the trilogy of books.
Attendees had the opportunity to get acquainted in a slightly different way with the books that present life stories and events that testify to the aggression that befell Bosnia and Herzegovina. The books contain no traces of hatred, but rather a message that the sons and daughters of Bosnia cannot and must not be forgotten.
Mugdim Galijašević has been a professional journalist in Sarajevo for over 41 years, where he was born and still lives. He worked in numerous journalistic assignments and editorial positions at "Večernje novine", "Oslobođenje" (for 25 years), and "Avaz".
Until almost three years ago, when he retired, he was the editor-in-chief of "Avaz" for abroad for more than seven years. After the war, he was a correspondent and commentator for DW from Sarajevo for several years. During the war, he was the spokesperson for RMUP for a time. And after that, he was one of the editors of the wartime "Oslobođenje".
