(Patria) - It is a living disaster here. We don't know what to do, we are left to fend for ourselves, is the cry of Muhamed Sinanović, a resident and also the president of the Srebrenica local community Luka.

Residents of Luka have been fighting like lions for the sixth day with the help of Srebrenica firefighters against a wildfire raging above the Drina River canyon.
- No one is coming to help us. The situation is extremely alarming, no, it's terrible. The population and livestock must evacuate the village during the night, which is full of smoke - says Sinanović in a statement to the Patria News Agency.

According to his words, residential buildings are still not threatened, but the population is, as they cannot breathe due to thick smoke.
- Helicopters of the Armed Forces (AF) of BiH acted twice, three times each, and could do nothing because of the thick smoke. They drew water from Višegrad and eventually gave up - Sinanović points out.

Incidentally, the Luka local community in Srebrenica has about fifty houses with just over a hundred residents. Several dozen head of livestock are also in danger.
- This threatens a major disaster. Fire is surrounding the village, and there is no salvation for people, livestock, or anything. During the night, the village is all smoke, it is unlivable.

The Drina canyon is burning, meadows are burning, rocks are burning, everything living is burning. This is a living disaster - Sinanović told us.
