Valentina Rupčić resigns from the position of BHRT Board member a day after Pendeš left the show

(Patria) - Valentina Rupčić has resigned from the position of member of the BHRT Board of Directors representing the Croatian people.

On Friday, Rupčić sent a letter to the secretariat and members of the BHRT Board of Directors, as well as to the General Director of BHRT, informing them that she is submitting an irrevocable resignation.

"My resignation is irrevocable and I ask that you inform the competent institutions, primarily the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and the System Committee, and inform the public," Rupčić stated.

She said that the recent events, public statements and messages sent from BHRT against the Croatian people do not reflect the spirit of why she was elected in the highest legislative body of BiH to represent the constituent Croatian people in the public RTV service – the BHRT Board of Directors and the System Committee.

"I sincerely believe that the fight for the survival of BHRT will continue, and in me personally and in the representatives of the Croatian people in all institutions of government, you will always have well-intentioned support," Rupčić emphasized.

Yesterday, BHRT produced a show about the problems BHRT is facing and the threat of its closure, which Marina Pendeš, President of the Croatian Club in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, left during a debate of opinions.

It should be noted that the mandate of the current BHRT Board of Directors has expired, and a new board was elected in the House of Representatives of the PA BiH in June 2025, while this appointment has not yet been considered in the House of Peoples of the PA BiH, given that sessions are regularly interrupted due to lack of quorum after lengthy discussions on the agenda, as was the case yesterday.

Incidentally, from the ranks of the Croatian people, Jozo Pavković from Večernji list was elected to the BHRT Board of Directors, who recently announced on BHRT's program that he is moving to the Republic of Croatia.
