Despite great support from the stands, Celtic proves stronger than Sarajevo

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - At the "Asim Ferhatović Hase" stadium tonight, with the support of nearly 25,000 fans, FK Sarajevo clashed with Scottish Celtic. Although they lost by two goals (1:3), there is nothing to blame Husref Musemić's team for. Celtic was the favorite and they proved it. The fans of the Maroon team prepared a special choreography, and a tribute was also paid to the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica. 

On a difficult pitch and in the rain, Sarajevo scored the first goal and took the lead against Celtic. The Scots quickly equalized, and in the second half, they scored two more goals. 

Sarajevo had the first great chance of the match. In the seventh minute, goalkeeper Bain saved a one-on-one chance for Hebibović. Five minutes later, a chance for the visitors through Forrest, but it remained 0:0.

In the 20th minute, Sarajevo threatened through Velkoski, but Celtic's defense reacted excellently. In the 28th minute, an explosion at Košev. Oremuš gave the Maroon team a 1:0 lead.

In the 36th minute, Johnston equalized with a great goal to make it 1:1. After the goal, the visitors had two more good chances, but Kovačević saved brilliantly. In the last minute of the first half, Oremuš blocked another attempt by the Scots.

The visitors started the second half excellently. Eduardo scored a masterful goal in the 51st minute to give Celtic a 1:2 lead. In the 68th minute, Sarajevo threatened through Milanović, the score remained 1:2. A chance for Rahmanović as well in the 74th minute.

The visitors threatened in the 77th minute, but Kovačević was safe. However, in the 86th minute, another ball in the net of the Maroon team, Sincalit scored for the final 1:3.
