Full Skenderija: Musa leads Dragons to victory over Armenia

The Bosnia and Herzegovina basketball team defeated Armenia in the 3rd round of the pre-qualifications for the World Championship in a fantastic atmosphere at Skenderija tonight. Duško Vujošević's selected players won with a score of 98:85.

We opened the game excellently with points from Musa and Vrabac, taking an 8:2 lead. We maintained a six-point advantage for most of the first quarter, but Armenia made a 10:4 run in the last two minutes, and the first period ended 23:23.

At the start of the second quarter, Ismet Sejfić got into rhythm, leading our team to a +7 lead with seven consecutive points. After that, excellent defensive play helped our team, led by Vrabac and Renfro, build a double-digit lead. Armenia quickly closed the gap with two three-pointers, but Tomić pushed the lead back to +10. In the last possession of the first half, the guests scored at the buzzer for 52:44, which was the halftime score.

We opened the second half with a spectacular dunk by Markus Lončar. After that, most of the quarter was played basket for basket. Near the end of the third period, Armenia cut the deficit to -6 with a 5:0 run, but Hasandić responded with a three-pointer. After the third quarter, the score was 73:60.

At one point in the fourth quarter, Armenia reduced the gap to -5, but our players remained composed, stood out in the offensive phase, and ultimately recorded a convincing victory.

The top scorer for our team was Džanan Musa with 28 points. Almir Hasandić also had an excellent performance with 14 points, while Adin Vrabac and Edin Atić each scored 12 points.

On the other side, Ryan Boatright scored 30 points, while Fischer with 11 and Chrabascz with 10 points were also in double figures.
