Constitutional and Legal Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina did not support the law on state property and the report on the work of the Council of Ministers

(Patria) - At the session of the Constitutional and Legal Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH), compliance with the Constitution of BiH and the legal system of BiH was established, but the principles of the Proposal for a law on amendments to the Criminal Code of BiH, proposed by MP Nihad Omerović, were not supported.

The Constitutional and Legal Affairs Committee did not establish compliance with the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina, nor did it support the principles of the Proposal for a law on state property, proposed by MPs Jasmin Emrić, Šemsudin Mehmedović, Aida Baručija, and Elvisa Hodžić.

Supported was the parliamentary initiative of Šemsudin Mehmedović, which states that the House of Representatives of PABiH obliges the Council of Ministers of BiH to make its work completely transparent and immediately, without delay, begin publishing on its website all documents related to Council sessions (except those documents classified as "confidential").

The Constitutional and Legal Affairs Committee did not accept the Report on the work of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2024.

Regarding the Request of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for a response to the Request of the SNSD Caucus in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska for an assessment of the constitutionality of the Decision on the establishment of the Office and the procedure for appointing the chief negotiator and deputy chief negotiator of Bosnia and Herzegovina for leading negotiations on accession to the European Union, the Constitutional and Legal Affairs Committee stated that the House of Representatives of PABiH, at its 33rd emergency session held on October 30, adopted the Decision on the establishment of the Office and the procedure for appointing the chief negotiator and deputy chief negotiator of BiH for leading negotiations on accession to the European Union, and that the decision on this dispute will be made by the Constitutional Court of BiH, it was announced from the Public Relations Sector of PABiH.
