Request submitted to the Constitutional Court to resolve dispute with RS, interim measure sought regarding the draft constitution of Republika Srpska

(Patria) - Today, a Request for resolving a dispute with the entity Republika Srpska and for issuing an interim measure was submitted to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, signed by 11 representatives of the SDA and DF in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Namely, as the National Assembly of the RS ignored the previously submitted Request to invalidate the Decision on adopting the draft constitution of Republika Srpska, the same group of representatives of the House of Representatives of the PSBiH today submitted to the Constitutional Court of BiH a Request for resolving a dispute with the NSRS, i.e., the entity Republika Srpska, regarding the unconstitutional Decision.

This request proposes that the Constitutional Court of BiH adopt a Decision establishing that the Decision on adopting the draft Constitution of the RS is not in compliance with the provisions of the Constitution of BiH, and that as such it ceases to be valid.

A Request for an interim measure has also been submitted, proposing that the Constitutional Court of BiH suspend the application of the contested Decision until the final court decision.
