Constitutional Court of BiH Decides: Komšić's Request Partially Granted

Certain provisions of the entity Constitutions and the Election Law of BiH regarding the election of the President of Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH are unconstitutional, the Constitutional Court of BiH has determined, as announced today by this judicial institution, reports the Patria news agency.

The Court deliberated on this matter upon the request of Željko Komšić, who submitted the request for review while he was a member of the Presidency of BiH.

The judges of the Constitutional Court of BiH were guided by the "Sejdić and Finci" ruling, which implies that the entity Constitutions must be harmonized with the upcoming amendment to the Constitution of BiH.
