SUCCESSES: How come BiH is in the first pot with all those national teams?

(Patria) - Sakib Malkočević is the most successful coach at the FA of BIH. Only the expert from Tuzla, along with Safet Sušić, led the national team of BIH to the gathering of the best selections. Sušić to the World Cup in Brazil, and Malkočević twice led the cadets to the European Championship. Malkočević has been working as the coach of the U-17 national team of BIH for years. Many players have passed through Malkočević's selection, many still have representative status, and the biggest recognition came from UEFA. The U-17 national team of BIH, ahead of the new qualifiers for players born in 2002, is placed in the first strength group, which speaks volumes about the image of this selection in European circles.

"Few people noticed. How come BIH is in the first pot with all those national teams? This is a reward for the work done in all qualifiers in the last four to five years. We were seeded in the tournament in Macedonia, but this is a great success. Until now, we were in the third pot," Malkočević told "Sportske.ba".

On Wednesday, the draw for the Elite Round will also take place. The U-17 national team of BIH continues its journey towards the EURO. Is there any selection you want to avoid?

"I would like to avoid Spain. They are the only ones we haven't played against since I became coach, and I wouldn't want to play them. They don't suit us, but there are no weak teams anymore. Scandinavian teams are improving, teams from the Islands are constantly in the finals, so there are no easy opponents anymore. We will see on Wednesday what the draw will say, and then we will be able to comment. We have always been subordinate in the draw so far, and now in the Elite Round, we will most likely be in the second pot," said Malkočević.
