The Municipal Court in Bihać has non-finally determined that the strike by education employees is illegal and has prohibited its implementation. The parties have 15 days to appeal this ruling. Negotiations are nonetheless continuing, reports the Patria news agency.
The lawsuit against the cantonal unions of preschool, primary and secondary education was filed by the Cantonal Government in Bihać, concurrently with negotiations on the demands of the strike committee. As of the conclusion of this report, the defendant and their legal representative were not familiar with the reasoning of the ruling.
Adil Draganović says that once he is familiar with the content, he will file an appeal. The deadline is 15 days.
In any case, the course of the court proceedings should not, according to the unions, affect the continuation of negotiations. This is especially true since two days ago the government finally stopped insisting on separate talks with the unions of preschool and primary, and secondary education, and offered the Strike Committee a new, framework proposal, which can be modified.
"We have submitted it to the branches so that they can comment on the proposal, based on which we will formulate our own," says Zehra Hadžić, president of the USK Primary Education Union.
Unofficially, they could be invited to negotiations as early as today, reports FTV.
