The Una-Sana Canton today received electronic equipment that will be installed in health centers, and will enable the introduction of electronic health records in this canton in the Federation as well, writes the bh. news agency Patria.
In Bihać today, contracts were signed on the transfer of ownership of equipment and services procured within the Health Sector Strengthening Project (HSEP), implemented by the Federal Ministry of Health with loan funds from the World Bank.
IT and network equipment has been procured and delivered for all health centers, and the ultimate goal of the project is the IT connection of health centers with the main medical center - the Cantonal Hospital and the Health Insurance Fund.
New technologies enable the introduction of a digital form of health record, which has proven to be more reliable worldwide and also allows for the rapid transmission of information and images remotely, which can sometimes be life-saving for a patient.
