WHO Office for BiH: Trust facts, not rumors, coronavirus is not in the air

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The virus that causes COVID-19 is mostly transmitted through droplets that form when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or speaks. These droplets are too heavy to float in the air. They quickly fall to the ground or other surfaces, said the World Health Organization Office for BiH.

You can get infected by inhaling the virus because you are less than 1 meter away from a person who has COVID-19, or by touching a contaminated surface and then touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.

To protect yourself, maintain a distance of at least 1 meter from others and disinfect frequently touched surfaces. Wash your hands regularly and thoroughly, and do not touch your eyes, nose, or mouth.
