(Patria) - Representative of the Mixed Club in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šemsudin Mehmedović, commented on the hiring of over 200 employees in the Indirect Taxation Authority, stating that according to available information, Director Zoran Tegeltija plans to continue the ethnic cleansing of Bosniaks in one of the most important state institutions, following the example of the institutions of the Republika Srpska and Stolac.
"That my years of warnings are extremely serious and based on facts was shown by Tegeltija recently when he appointed four of his assistants, none of whom are Bosniaks! Even before the aforementioned appointment, which grossly violated the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and state laws, I repeatedly presented data that the Authority is missing 226 Bosniaks, which is the result of years of planned and synchronized criminal-associative administrative undertaking by the SNSD and HDZ, with the ultimate goal of completely taking over state institutions and completely disenfranchising the most numerous people," Mehmedović stated.
He also criticized the Deputy Chair of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zukan Helez, as well as other ministers from the Bosniak ranks.
"He neither speaks nor acts, and through his inaction, he does not stop the brutal discrimination of Bosniaks in employment, nor do the other Bosniak ministers in the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I call on Minister Helez to finally publicly comment on the mentioned competition in the Authority and take all actions available to him as a state minister and deputy chair. This competition should have resulted in the employment of at least two-thirds Bosniaks, in order to at least partially reduce their imbalance in the Indirect Taxation Authority.
In addition to Minister Helez, the only assistant director of the Authority from the Bosniak ranks, Elvir Muminović, is obliged to insist on the consistent implementation of the law and proportional representation of the constituent Bosniak people. According to my information, Muminović plays a very important role in the implementation of the competition, so let him use it solely and clearly in the direction of respecting legality. I will carefully monitor every step related to this competition until its conclusion," Mehmedović stated.
He called on Bosniak candidates to use their legal right and timely file a complaint if the hiring of new employees is contrary to the legal principle of proportional representation of Bosniaks in the Indirect Taxation Authority.
"I tell Zoran Tegeltija that the laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina are in force and apply equally to everyone, and I remind him that for violating the law, the responsible person is held accountable, and usually the instigators in such situations protect themselves by washing their hands of all illegalities," Mehmedović concluded.
