Employees of NUB BiH receive support from UNSA, students, public figures, publishers, citizens: By shutting down NUB, you are shutting down BiH!

(Patria) - In front of the building of the National and University Library of BiH (NUB BiH), employees, as well as employees of the University of Sarajevo, led by Rector Tarik Zaimović, vice-rectors, professors... gathered symbolically at 12:05.

Deans, students, actors, publishers, and citizens joined the employees in the Campus, expressing solidarity with the employees of NUB BiH who have been working without pay for months and whose status remains unresolved after the director's retirement. At the beginning of October, NUB BiH closed its doors to the public, and now no new book, textbook, publication, scientific paper, or journal can be published in the FBiH.

Support for NUB was also provided by students of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Sarajevo, as well as some other institutions and libraries across BiH, which gathered in front of their institutions and libraries at 12:05, sending a message of support.

Signs were placed on the NUB BiH building: "NUB BiH is not a luxury but a necessity", "NUB is our NOB", "By shutting down NUB, you are shutting down BiH", "NUB for the sustainability of culture in BiH".
