Director Maslo Involved: Job at Ministry of Transport Tailored for Edin Išerić

The arrogance, and even abuse of position and authority, of leading state officials truly knows no end, as confirmed by yet another case of employment in state service bodies, writes the Patria news agency.

Namely, as we have previously written, the Ministry of Transport of Sarajevo Canton announced a competition for the employment of a civil servant – information associate.

The competition is being conducted by the Agency for Civil Service of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ADS FBiH), headed by an SDA cadre, Sead Maslo.

And everything would be in accordance with legal regulations if the future information officer in this competition would not be a person who has completed journalism studies. And they won't, because the competition conditions required candidates to have completed law studies or a Faculty of Public Administration.

After a candidate in that competition contacted us – a graduate journalist who was rejected from further procedure because they did not have the faculty required by the competition conditions – Patria wrote about this unusual case, hoping that the director of ADS FBiH would annul the competition and allow graduate journalists to compete as well.

Director Maslo, however, did not annul the competition, but he did annul the competition in the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, which was discussed at the beginning of February on OBN television.

Allegedly, Maslo annulled that competition because his friend Izmir Talić, former ambassador of BiH to Montenegro, did not pass the test. Therefore, he annulled the competition without legal basis. Why, then, does he not annul the competition in the Ministry of Transport of Sarajevo Canton, for which there is a legal basis?

-The competition was announced for Edin Išerić, who will be hired for that position, and Edin is the son of Enver Išerić, former director of the Agency and friend of Sead Maslo. That is the only truth. Whoever does not believe it will be convinced on Friday, March 27, because the professional exam for the employment of an information officer is scheduled for that day.

And the date of the exam has already been published on the ADS FBiH website – says our source from the Ministry of Transport of Sarajevo Canton, who wished to remain anonymous.   

By the way, Edin Išerić is currently the driver for the director of the Sarajevo Canton Roads Directorate, Adem Zolja.

-We all know everything, but we are powerless. Our children who have honorably and honestly completed their studies can only languish on the unemployment bureaus, while the children of those who hold the reins of SDA power can immediately turn their children from drivers into civil servants in government bodies. The only thing left for us is to file a criminal complaint against director Maslo because he behaves as if he owns a sawmill and not the director of ADS FBiH. So, he annuls some competitions, and others he doesn't. Let him explain to the law enforcement agencies why he behaves like that – says a parent of a graduate journalist who was removed from the competition procedure.

Whether and how much our interlocutors are right will be known on Friday. And if Edin Išerić is indeed hired, then this text will be enough for the law enforcement agencies to investigate director Maslo a little.
