
(Patria) - Ukraine and Japan yesterday signed a security agreement on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Italy, said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Reuters reported.
- In 2024, Japan will provide Ukraine with $4.5 billion and will continue to support us throughout the entire ten-year duration of the agreement - Zelenskyy stated on X.

The agreement, he added, provides for security and defense assistance, humanitarian aid, technical and financial cooperation.
Zelenskyy thanked Japan for its "unwavering solidarity" and commitment to protecting international law.
