Obstacles Removed for Resolving the Issue of the Building on the Southern Longitudinal Route

(Patria) - Minister of Transport Adi Kalem and Mayor of Novo Sarajevo Municipality Nedžad Koldžo signed an Agreement on Business Cooperation which entails the realization of the Project for the construction of a residential and commercial building in Grbavička Street as a replacement location for the residential and commercial building at Grbavička Street no. 62-68, which is located on the route of the future Southern Longitudinal Route.
The Ministry of Transport has provided financial resources in the Budget for 2020 for compensation for the land on which the future residential and commercial building will be constructed.

By signing this Agreement, after more than ten years, the conditions have been met to initiate activities on the realization of the mentioned project.

After the construction of the replacement residential and commercial building, the existing one will be demolished and a roundabout will be built in its place, thus connecting two parts of the Southern Longitudinal Route.

In 2019, the Ministry of Transport and the Institute for the Construction of Sarajevo Canton signed an Agreement entrusting the Institute for the Construction of Sarajevo Canton with the realization of tasks related to this project.
