
By decision of the Council of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, pre-trial detention for Kenan Vučijak, director of the Isak Samokovlija Primary School, has been lifted and he has been released, writes the BH News Agency Patria.
He was arrested in June on the order of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo, and he is charged with abuse and exploitation of official position, and that by issuing threats, he extorted illegal property gain exceeding 10,000 KM.
Vučijak is suspected of extorting money and issuing threats to the director of a travel agency in Sarajevo that organized school excursions. He was arrested after coming to collect the extorted money, which was recorded.
Upon his arrest, 2,000 KM was found in his possession.
Otherwise, Vučijak also had the support of the parents of the students, as well as the employees of the Isak Samokovlija school.
