Five people arrested for child pornography

(Patria) - Police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of Republika Srpska (RS), in continuation of the operational action "SISTEM 2026", arrested individuals with initials S.S., S.J., D.Š., and V.K. from Banja Luka, and an individual with initials B.T. from Mrkonjić Grad, for whom there is a basis for suspicion that they have committed the criminal offense of "Exploitation of Children for Pornography" from Article 175 of the Criminal Code of Republika Srpska.

The action was carried out by police officers of the Criminal Police Administration in cooperation with the police administrations of Banja Luka and Mrkonjić Grad, who, by order of the competent courts, carried out searches at six locations used by individuals connected to the commission of the aforementioned criminal offenses.

During the searches, means of committing the criminal offense were found and seized, including computers, mobile phones, memory cards, and other digital data storage devices.

Also, a certain amount of green plant material resembling the narcotic drug "marijuana" was found and seized, as well as other items that could be related to the commission of the criminal offense.

The individuals are suspected of accessing groups where child pornography content was shared using social networks and communication applications, while some individuals are also suspected of forming storage spaces for keeping the downloaded material.

After the criminal investigation is completed, a report on the committed criminal offenses will be submitted to the competent prosecutor's office against the said individuals, it was announced from the MUP of RS.
