President of the Football Federation of Spain arrested over match against BiH

President of the Football Federation of Spain Angel Maria Villar was arrested today at the federation's premises due to corruption, and one of the reasons is the match between Spain and BiH, which was played a year ago in Switzerland, reports Patria agency. 

According to the Spanish sports newspaper Marca, the police suspect corruption in the organization of friendly matches of Spain with BiH in St. Gallen on May 29, 2016, and the match with South Korea played a few days later in Salzburg.

Interestingly, both matches were played as part of the preparations for the Euro in France.

FIFA did not wish to comment on Villar's arrest, stating that the arrest is an internal matter in Spain, writes Sportske.
