On a highway in Burgenland, 50 refugees were found dead in a truck; according to initial information, they most likely suffocated, reports Kronen Zeitung, as carried by the Patria news agency.
Yesterday, Austrian police intercepted three trucks transporting refugees. Among them was one carrying 34 refugees.
That group also included children. Despite the refugees' complaints about difficulty breathing, the smugglers allegedly drove non-stop from the Serbian border to the Austrian border.
