Compacted snow and fog causing problems for drivers on several sections through BiH

(Patria) - Due to compacted and slushy snow, traffic is slowed down on several sections, especially on the routes Bihać–Bosanski Petrovac–Ključ, Kupres–Šuica, Glamoč–Mliništa, Sarajevo–Rogatica (Romanija), Trnovo–Foča (Rogoj) and Vlasenica–Han Pijesak (via Han Pogleda).

Fog is further reducing visibility in the areas of Novi Travnik, Rostovo and Mliništa. Due to low temperatures during the morning and evening, ice on the road is possible, especially on bridges, overpasses and shaded parts of the road. Drivers are advised to drive slower and more cautiously, according to BIHAMK.

Due to a large landslide, the section of the Jablanica–Blidinje main road is closed to traffic.

On the Dobro Polje–Miljevina main road, in the place called Sijeračke stijene, due to landslide remediation, traffic is intermittently suspended daily from 08:00 to 17:00 for up to 45 minutes.

Works are currently underway on the main roads: Semizovac-Olovo, Jajce-Crna Rijeka, Bileća-Trebinje (at the Žudojevići locality), Gacko-Foča (in Sastavci), as well as at the entrance to Neum.

At border crossings, waiting times for passenger vehicles do not exceed 30 minutes.

Due to passenger registration under the new EU entry/exit system (EES), longer waiting times at border crossings are possible.

The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. Traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tons of maximum permissible weight at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik). Trucks over 5 tons are redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use the Šepak border crossing. Trucks can use the Šepak border crossing from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 22:00 to 06:00 (on weekends, they can cross between 22:00 and 06:00).
