UEFA fines Football Association of BiH with 18,000 euros for whistling the Israeli anthem and trampling the flag

The UEFA Disciplinary Committee has fined the Football Association of BiH with 18,000 euros due to incidents during the EURO qualifiers match BiH - Israel, played on June 12, 2015, in Zenica, where fans booed the Israeli anthem and trampled the Israeli flag, the FA of BiH announced, reports the Patria News Agency.

In the explanation of the fine, it is stated that the FA of BiH was fined for whistling during the Israeli anthem, use of pyrotechnics, and racist behavior of BiH fans during the BiH – Israel match.

In addition to the fine, the north stand of the Bilino Polje stadium will be closed for the match against Andorra.

BiH won the match against Israel 3:1, thus reviving their chances of qualifying for next year's European Championship in France, writes NAP.
