Disciplinary Office opens case: Is there responsibility in the conduct of the judge in the Nizama Hećimović case?

(Patria) - The Office of the Disciplinary Prosecutor of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina has opened a case against judge L. N. from Gradačac, who refused to order restraining measures against Nermin Sulejmanović regarding the murdered Nizama Hećimović, as proposed by the Gradačac Police Administration.

"The Office of the Disciplinary Prosecutor of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina has opened a case ex officio based on articles published in the media regarding the conduct of the judge of the Municipal Court in Gradačac. The Office will investigate to establish the relevant facts of the case, in order to examine allegations of a breach of official duty by the judge in the decision-making process," stated the HJPC of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We recall that Nermin Sulejmanović from Gradačac, on Friday, August 11, shot and killed his ex-wife in the presence of their daughter, broadcasting it live on the social network Instagram. Prior to that, he wounded a man, and after killing his wife, he killed a father and son at different locations in Gradačac, and wounded a woman and a police officer.

After being surrounded by police, Sulejmanović committed suicide.

Just four days before the murder, judge L. N. of the Municipal Court in Gradačac issued a ruling rejecting the proposal of the Gradačac Police Administration to impose measures prohibiting harassment, stalking, and approaching the victim against Nermin Sulejmanović.
