Employers' Association in FBiH Urges Immediate Continuation of Activities to Prepare Prerequisites for January Salary Payments

(Patria) - Ahead of the adoption of the FBiH budget next week and the entry into the final phase of preparations for the payment of January salaries to private sector employees, the Employers' Association in FBiH, together with other formal and informal employers' organizations, appeals to representatives of the executive and legislative authorities to align budget items in the FBiH budget with the conclusions of the Economic and Social Council for the territory of FBiH.

The goal is to eliminate and mitigate the negative effects of the government's Decision on the amount of the minimum wage for 2025 on the economy of FBiH.

The Employers' Association in FBiH, as an economic and social partner, demands the urgent delivery of a draft regulation that will provide clear rules for exercising the right to reimbursement of funds based on paid salaries.

"The draft regulation has not yet been submitted to the social partners, which is why we have no answers to numerous inquiries from the field regarding preparations for the payment of salaries for January 2025.

The Employers' Association in FBiH, in accordance with the conclusions of the ESC, demands from the FBiH Government that the budget line for supporting the implementation of the Decision on the minimum wage for 2025 be comprehensive and applicable to all categories of employers, which will ultimately be defined by the announced government regulation.

We call on the competent institutions to urgently deliver the requested information and the draft regulation so that we can coordinate it with employers in FBiH and ensure quality preparation for salary payments, which is already scheduled for next week.

We remind once again that on Tuesday there is a session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament where the budget will be adopted. On Thursday, a session of the House of Peoples will be held, and on Friday a session of the ESC is scheduled, followed by a session of the FBiH Government where a resolution of these issues is expected, on which the stability of the BiH economy depends, and above all the preservation of jobs and businesses in FBiH, both small and others," the statement from the Employers' Association in FBiH said.
