Association Pomozi.ba distributed almost 500 tons of food during Ramadan

(Patria) - As part of this year's Ramadan campaign, the Pomozi.ba Association distributed almost 500 tons, more precisely 473,292 kilograms of food.

A total of 11,600 packages and 73,020 iftars were distributed, bringing relief and joy to tens of thousands of people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Palestine, Syria, and Yemen.

Regarding international aid, 40,100 iftars and 4,200 packages were distributed in Palestine.

In Yemen, 15,400 iftars were distributed, and in Syria, 12,090 iftars and 2,360 family Ramadan packages were distributed.

"In Bosnia and Herzegovina, we distributed 5,040 packages, and our cooks in Sarajevo, Travnik, Zenica, and Bihać prepared 5,430 iftars, which drivers delivered daily with a smile to the doorsteps of our beneficiaries," Pomozi.ba stated.

In the preparation and distribution of packages in BiH, in addition to the Association's employees, numerous volunteers and 45 partner organizations participated, thanks to whom the aid reached numerous cities, towns, and villages in the Sarajevo, Zenica-Doboj, Central Bosnia, Tuzla, Una-Sana, Herzegovina-Neretva, Posavina, Bosnian-Podrinje Canton Goražde, and RS.

"We extend special thanks to all donors in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the diaspora, BiH companies, catering facilities, bakeries, schools, student associations, and everyone who contributed in any way to the success of this campaign.

We greatly appreciate the empathy and solidarity of our citizens, who showed care not only for their fellow citizens but also for people hundreds of kilometers away, who are facing war suffering, poverty, illness, and great losses.

This Ramadan has once again shown that together we can achieve a lot. No one should be left hungry and without the warmth that this holy month brings. We move forward, stronger and more determined to offer a helping hand to all those who need it most," concluded the Pomozi.ba Association.
