(Patria) - During his stay in Dortmund, the Mufti for Western Europe, Senaid Kobilica, carried out a series of activities and meetings with community representatives.

On that occasion, representatives of the association Amanet Deutsch Bosnische Initiative e.V. welcomed the Mufti in Dortmund, after which they together headed to Cologne, where a meeting and discussion about the association's work and future projects was held.

On behalf of Amanet, the meeting was attended by Amir Aletić and Mehmed Valjevac.

During the discussion, the association's representatives presented their activities to date, with special emphasis on their long-standing engagement in preserving the culture of remembrance and the clear and responsible transmission of the truth about the Srebrenica genocide.

It was highlighted that Amanet, through educational projects, public events, and international cooperation, continuously contributes to raising awareness about the genocide, without relativization and with respect for the dignity of the victims.

Special attention was given to the announcement of this year's activities. In Dortmund, a commemoration of the Srebrenica genocide will be held on July 4, while a trip for an international group of participants to the Peace March is planned for July 7, in cooperation with the Srebrenica Awareness Network.

A group of 25 participants of various nationalities will take part in the Peace March on the route Nezuk - Potočari from July 8 to 11, thereby further strengthening the international dimension of the culture of remembrance and responsibility.

Mufti Kobilica expressed support for the association's work, emphasizing the importance of the truth about the genocide reaching people outside Bosnia and Herzegovina, and highlighted the significance of such initiatives in building awareness, responsibility, and mutual understanding.

The stay in Cologne continued in the presence of representatives of the Islamic Community in Germany, including the chief imam of the Medžlis NRW, Muamer Mujarić, the president of the Medžlis NRW, Mustafa Burnić, and the imam of the congregation, Nedžad Osmić.

In a constructive atmosphere, experiences were exchanged and the importance of cooperation and joint action was emphasized.

On that occasion, a meeting with youth in Cologne was also held, where the association Amanet Deutsch Bosnische Initiative e.V. was invited to participate in the joint commemoration of White Ribbon Day on May 31.

The association Amanet Deutsch Bosnische Initiative e.V. once again confirms its commitment to contributing to the preservation of memory through its activities, with open cooperation with all relevant actors.

The culture of remembrance is not only an obligation towards the past but also a responsibility towards the future. The truth about the Srebrenica genocide must remain clearly named, preserved, and transmitted with dignity and responsibility.
