Victims' associations call on Helez: Investigate whether members of the Armed Forces of BiH marked January 9, and if so, remove Knežević

(Patria) - We call on the competent judicial institutions in BiH to urgently investigate and prosecute all those who attended the unconstitutional celebration of January 9, thereby committing a criminal act by denying the ruling of the Constitutional Court of BiH.

This is stated in the call of the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide and the Movement "Mothers of the Srebrenica and Žepa Enclaves".

"We especially call on the Minister of Defense of BiH to urgently launch an investigation and take measures against members of the Armed Forces of BiH who violated the Constitution of BiH and the Law on Defense of BiH, and to provide relevant information, with a proposal to the Presidency of BiH and the military commissioner of the Parliament of BiH. In this regard, if confirmed as accurate, we demand that the decision appointing General Gojko Knežević to the position of Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of BiH be urgently annulled," the call states.

The victims' associations conclude: "Those who violate the Constitution of BiH, the Law on Defense of BiH, and thereby undermine security and subvert the state of BiH, it is absolutely unacceptable to entrust them with the Armed Forces of BiH."
