Victims' Associations: Politicians Get Police Protection, But What About Returnees?

(Patria) - Five victims' associations issued a press release condemning the granting of police protection to Sanja Valić.

"Almost every politician, whether a minister or a deputy, in addition to the many privileges they enjoy in the poorest country in Europe, utter some nonsense to secure yet another privilege. Police protection has become a necessity for every politician in Bosnia and Herzegovina, yet none of them has ever been attacked or had an assassination attempt made on them since the time of Gavrilo Princip.

On the other hand, returnees are exposed daily to attacks, murders, and beatings, precisely because of politicians' statements. There is no protection for them; they are like clay pigeons exposed to the brutality of politicians such as Sanja Vulić, Nenad Nešić, Milorad Dodik, Sanja Vlaisavljević, and many others who despise this country but not its privileges.

Shame on you, both you and those who grant you protection, instead of caring about the lives of ordinary people," stated the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide, the Association Movement of Mothers of the Srebrenica and Žepa Enclaves, the Association of Women of Podrinje, the Mothers of Srebrenica Association, and the Women of Srebrenica Association.
