Five Croatian Parties Refuse to Participate in HNS Session

(Patria) - Representatives of HDZ 1990 and the HNP, HDS, and HSS parties issued a joint press release announcing they will not participate in the session of the Croatian National Assembly.

Due to dissatisfaction with the way the Croatian National Assembly (HNS) operates and functions, on Saturday, February 8, more than 170 legitimately elected representatives will not participate in the work of the 12th session of the Croatian National Assembly.

"We have been warning for a long time about: non-compliance with adopted declarations, non-implementation of adopted resolutions and strategies, turning the HNS into a framework for maintaining the monopoly of HDZ BiH...

Failure to adopt amendments to the Election Law on legitimate representation, and non-implementation of other strategic priorities of the Croatian people in Bosnia and Herzegovina (demographic strategy, stopping the exodus of the Croatian people...)

Usurpation of the position of the President of the Main Council of the Croatian National Assembly", stated these parties.

Due to all of the above, the necessary need to redefine the way of working and decision-making in the HNS is imposed.

Aware of the political relations in BiH (separatism, unitarism) and the overall geopolitical situation, in the interest of the Croatian people in BiH, we consider it necessary to openly and urgently discuss all of the above with mutual respect and be responsible towards our own people", emphasize the representatives of these parties.

The letter was signed by Ilija Cvitanović (HDZ 1990), Ivan Vukadin (HNP), Ivo Tadić (HDS), and Mario Karamatić (HSS).

In this way, they joined the Croatian Republican Party (HRS), whose representatives confirmed earlier in the day that they would not participate in the work of the HNS.
