Students of "Alija Nametak" School Winners of Volleyball Competition

The final volleyball matches were played on Tuesday, March 10 in the FIS sports hall, concluding the municipal volleyball competition for boys and girls from 11 elementary schools in the Centar municipality, organized by the Department for Education, Culture and Sports in cooperation with the Public Institution 'Center for Sports and Recreation', reports the Patria news agency.  

In the matches played by the girls, the following results were achieved: Elementary School 'Alija Nametak' – Elementary School 'Nafija Sarajlić' 2:0, Elementary School 'Alija Nametak' - Elementary School of the Catholic School Center 2:0, Elementary School of the Catholic School Center - Elementary School 'Nafija Sarajlić' 2:0.

With these results, the girls' volleyball team of Elementary School 'Alija Nametak' won first place in the competition, second place went to the team of the Elementary School of the Catholic School Center, and third place was awarded to the girls from Elementary School 'Nafija Sarajlić'.

After this, the boys from three schools played, with the following results: Elementary School 'Alija Nametak' – Elementary School 'Musa Ćazim Ćatić' 2:0, Elementary School 'Alija Nametak' - Elementary School 'Safvet-beg Bašagić' 2:1, Elementary School 'Musa Ćazim Ćatić' - Elementary School 'Safvet-beg Bašagić' 2:1.

With victories in two matches, the volleyball players of Elementary School 'Alija Nametak' secured the first position in the competition, second place went to the students of Elementary School 'Musa Ćazim Ćatić', and third to the team from Elementary School 'Safvet-beg Bašagić'.

At the end of the competition, the Deputy Mayor of Centar Municipality for Education, Culture and Sports, Zakira Šero, awarded medals to the teams and diplomas to their schools for their placement, while physical education teachers will receive monetary prizes of 100, 70 and 50 KM for first, second and third place in the competition, announced the Centar Municipality.
