Students of the madrasa "Džemaludin Čaušević" from Cazin have planted a plantation of one hundred walnut trees, which in a few years will represent a significant source of income for this school, writes the BH news agency Patria.
The project of establishing the walnut plantation was supported by the Waqf Directorate of the Islamic Community of BiH, which has been establishing fruit plantations on unused waqf property for several years.
The madrasa announced that this is not the only fruit plantation they will establish. The madrasa will expand the plantation with additional trees, and soon they will produce walnut seedlings themselves.
- This is a completely new approach to the property of the madrasa, i.e., waqf property. It has led to us already having two graduating students who want to study agriculture - announced the Cazin madrasa, reports NAP.
