(Patria) - Miners of the subsidiary company Brown Coal Mines Kakanj have received their salaries and returned to work this morning, union president Abdel Fazlić told the media.
This ended the workers' disobedience in Kakanj that began two days ago during the second shift, but protests continue in Zenica.
- We received our salaries, and the workers are back on the job. We still have some problems, but we have to work. According to my information, production was halted this morning in Breza, and in Han Bila near Travnik they are still in disobedience - says Fazlić.
President of the RMU Zenica Union, Nedžad Duraković, points out that they are still waiting for the payment of April's salary, and the deadline for the May salary is approaching, but they have no tentative date for when they should receive the money.
- We are clearly being ignored. We gather daily in front of our Administration building, and 19 of us are even spending the night at the Miners' Home. The rest, as they finish their work, arrive and offer us support. We will see by 3 PM today whether anything will change or whether we will be forced to take other, more radical steps - Duraković states.
