Still turbulent at the top of SDA: Bakir Izetbegović seeks to secure majority in the party Presidency

The selection of a mandate holder for the new composition of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will be discussed today by the Personnel Commission and the Presidency of the SDA, will reveal how deep the rift has become between the faction of Bakir Izetbegović, deputy president of the SDA, and those who stood with the late Sulejman Tihić, president of the SDA, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- Since Tihić's death intensively, and it started even earlier when the late president withdrew from the public due to illness, Izetbegović and his people Denis Zvizdić, Aljoša Čampara and Asim Sarajlić have been trying at all costs to secure their majority in both the Personnel Commission and the Presidency. Sarajlić did not rest until he lobbied through Čampara to be appointed president of the Personnel Commission. That is why Izetbegović now has five out of seven people in the commission. However, the situation in the Presidency is different. Today, based on the discussion about the mandate holder for which Denis Zvizdić and Adil Osmanović have applied, we will see which faction is stronger - explains our interlocutor from the top leadership of the SDA.

The session of the Personnel Commission is scheduled for 1:30 PM, and at 3:00 PM the Presidency of the SDA will convene.
