
(Patria) - Police officers of the Višegrad Police Station have identified a person from Višegrad suspected of inflicting severe bodily injuries on person G.B. from Višegrad on January 30, 2024, around 11:45 PM.
"The Višegrad Police Station was notified by the duty doctor at the Višegrad Health Center that G.B. had arrived at their service with injuries, which, according to his report, he sustained on January 30, 2024, around 11:45 PM from an unknown person in front of the salon in Bikavac, Višegrad municipality.
The duty prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor's Office of East Sarajevo was informed about the incident, who qualified the event as the criminal offense of "Severe Bodily Injury" and authorized police officers to take all measures and actions to document and prove the said criminal offense.
On January 31, police officers identified and found person M.S. from Višegrad, who underwent criminal processing in the official premises of the Višegrad Police Station. Further work is underway, stated the Foča Police Department.
The target of the attack was Bahrudin Gušo, a returnee to Višegrad. He was beaten by Marko Simeunović, the driver of the Mayor of Višegrad, Mladen Đurević. This was confirmed to the media by the brother of the injured returnee, Fahrudin Gušo.
The injured Bahrudin was transferred for treatment to the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS), and he sustained severe head injuries.
This attack was condemned by the Federal Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees, as well as the State Minister for Human Rights and Refugees, Sevlid Hurtić, who announced a visit to Gušo at KCUS for tomorrow.
