SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Organized by the City of Sarajevo and the Sarajevo War Theatre SARTR, the play "Ay, Carmela" was performed tonight at the Fortress within the Spomen-park Vraca complex.
"By performing this iconic play, SARTR had the honor of promoting a new cultural scene in our city - in the ambiance of the Spomen-park Vraca. We are already receiving initiatives from other cultural institutions to present their content to the public precisely in this cultural space," emphasized the Deputy Mayor of Sarajevo, Milan Trivić.
Among the audience members who attended this unique social and cultural event were also descendants of the war victims whose names are engraved on the Spomen-park Vraca.
Tonight, we once again witnessed a masterful performance by our distinguished acting maestros, Selma Alispahić and Dragan Jovičić, who, along with Jasenko Pašić, have performed this iconic play on theatre stages across our country and Europe.
Spomen-park Vraca is a historical, cultural, artistic, and one of Sarajevo's greatest tourism potentials, occupying an area of 61,000 square meters.
The fortress has 3,000 square meters, both indoor and outdoor space, suitable for a wide variety of cultural and social events.
