Work on replacing water pipes underway, first layer of asphalt on the roundabout near GRAS by the end of November

(Patria) - Since August, work has been ongoing on the construction of a roundabout in Džemala Bijedića Street near the company GRAS. However, before the construction of the roundabout itself, underground installations had to be replaced, which takes the most time.

As announced by the Mayor of Novi Grad Municipality, Semir Efendić, the installation of a new pressure pipeline has begun, which transports water to the Kobilja Glava reservoir. This involves 250 meters of pipeline.

To enable safe pedestrian movement, a temporary pedestrian path has been opened through the GRAS company premises.

The plan is to complete the first layer of asphalt by the end of November, which will facilitate traffic during the winter months.

Work on the construction of the roundabout began on August 7 this year, and the total value of the works is around 2 million KM.

This is one of the busiest streets in Sarajevo, where the large Bingo shopping center is also located. The construction of a roundabout at this location should help avoid congestion, especially in the morning and afternoon hours when vehicle traffic is heaviest.
