Promotion of publication 'Women of Medieval Bosnia' in Tešanj today

The publication „Women of Medieval Bosnia“ will be promoted for the first time on Saturday in Tešanj, at the event "Tešanjsko proljeće 2015", and it presents and demystifies the position of Bosnian women and women of Bosnian origin through the Middle Ages, and represents a kind of tribute to the 11 most famous heroines from our past, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The publication was created by members of the Citizens' Association „Bosona“.

The historiography, compiled by a group of authors from the Association, presents women who in various ways marked their time and spread the glory of their state across the old continent.

The content of the promotion will be filled with short and attractive presentations on the topic of studying historical sources and the methodology used in creating the brochure and scientific works, on the position of women in medieval Bosnia, as well as the presentation of women in medieval heraldry and heraldry as an auxiliary historical science in general.

The moderator of the presentation will be the secretary of Bosona, Meliha Fazlić, and the presenters will be members of the association's board Dženan Dautović, professor Adnan Ibrahimović, and Emir Lagumdžija, executive director of the Association.

The creation of the brochure is the result of cooperation between the Citizens' Association Bosona and the Novo Sarajevo Municipality, which through its support enabled the publication to be created and reach the hands of enthusiasts and admirers of the tradition and history of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The promotion of the publication „Women of Medieval Bosnia“ will be held at the Eminagića konak, starting at 5 PM.
