(Patria) - Following the deaths of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, a Book of Condolences was opened at the Iranian Embassy in Sarajevo, reports Anadolu.
From the morning hours, citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and ambassadors of various countries in Bosnia and Herzegovina have been signing the Book of Condolences.
The Ambassador of Iran to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Abuzar Ebrahimi Torkaman, thanked the politicians of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein ef. Kavazović, for the words of condolence they conveyed following this tragic event.
The helicopter carrying Iranian President Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Governor of East Azerbaijan Malik Rehmati, and the Friday prayer leader of Tabriz, Ayatollah Al-Hashem, crashed on Sunday due to bad weather conditions while returning from the opening ceremony of a dam on the border with Azerbaijan. It was later confirmed that there were no survivors of the crash.
Mohammad Mokhber, the first Vice President of Iran, was appointed acting president on Monday following Raisi's death.
