
(Patria) - At the request of the Sarajevo City Administration, the KS Ministry of Transport has approved a temporary change in the traffic regime for the public New Year's 2025 celebration, which will be managed by police officers of the KS Ministry of Internal Affairs Police Administration.
Traffic is prohibited in the two leftmost lanes of the permitted direction of travel on Maršala Tita Street, from Vječna vatra to Radićeva Street, and parts of the sidewalk on the left and right sides of the roadway, while the remaining part of the roadway – the rightmost lane – tram tracks, and sidewalk, will remain open for traffic, as follows:
- from 27.12.2024 at 9:00 AM to 30.12.2024 at 4:00 PM;
- on 31.12.2024 from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM;
- from 1.1.2025 at 7:00 AM to 2.1.2025.
Traffic is prohibited for motor vehicles from 30.12.2024 at 4:00 PM to 31.12.2024 at 6:00 AM, as well as on 31.12.2024 from 4:00 PM to 1.1.2025 at 7:00 AM:
- in Mula Mustafe Bašeskije Street from the intersection with Pehlivanuša Street to the intersection with Kaptol Street and in Maršala Tita Street from the intersection with Kaptol Street to the intersection with Radićeva Street;
- prohibition of traffic and parking in Kulovića Street, from the intersection with Branilaca Sarajeva Street to the intersection with Maršala Tita Street;
- prohibition of traffic and parking in Dalmatinska Street, from the intersection with Mehmeda Spahe Street to the intersection with Maršala Tita Street;
- prohibition of traffic and parking in Trampina Street, from the intersection with Mehmeda Spahe Street to the intersection with Maršala Tita Street;
- prohibition of traffic and parking in Radićeva Street, from the intersection with Branilaca Sarajeva Street to the intersection with Maršala Tita Street;
- prohibition of traffic and parking in Kaptol Street, from the intersection with Mehmeda Spahe Street to the intersection with Mula Mustafe Bašeskije Street;
- prohibition of traffic and parking in Ćemaluša Street, from the intersection with Mula Mustafe Bašeskije Street to the intersection with Branilaca Sarajeva Street;
- prohibition of parking in Alije Isakovića Street, in the immediate vicinity of the intersection with Maršala Tita Street;
- prohibition of traffic and parking in Pruščakova Street, from the intersection with Mehmeda Spahe Street to the intersection with Maršala Tita Street;
- prohibition of traffic and parking in Šenoina Street, from the intersection with Branilaca Sarajeva Street to the intersection with Maršala Tita Street.
The prohibition does not apply to police, ambulance, and fire service vehicles, as well as escorted vehicles. Alternative routes during the traffic regime change are:
- Lapišnica – M-5 – Put Mladih Muslimana (for trucks and buses);
- Obala Kulina Bana – Bentbaša – M-5 – Put Mladih Muslimana (for trucks and buses);
- Sagrdžije – Telali – Safvet-bega Bašagića (for trucks);
- Sagrdžije – Kračule – Brodac – Obala Kulina Bana;
- Mula Mustafe Bašeskije – Pehlivanuša – Petrakijina – Mehmed-paše Sokolovića – Mejtaš – Čekaluša – Džidžikovac;
- Koševo – Maršala Tita;
- Branilaca Sarajeva – Mis Irbina – Musala – Maršala Tita;
- Branilaca Sarajeva – Mis Irbina – Reisa Džemaludina Čauševića – Obala Kulina Bana.
"We remind the citizens of Sarajevo Canton, as well as all guests, that from December 15th until January 15th, enhanced controls of traffic participants are in effect, with a special emphasis on driving under the influence of alcohol and driving before obtaining a driving license," the KS Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.
